Team building

Team building

A management team, a project team or any other team which uses the diverse resources of a team, pursues the same goals, shares the definition of efficient collaboration and performs at a high energy level, can achieve amazing results. Developing the capacity of a team  to perform at a very high level is a process that requires time and resources, but one that undeniably pays off.

There is often a preference to start off providing the team members and the team leader certain insights and tools. However, in order to develop a group's ability to work together and develop as a team, a process/language for understanding individual differences is often a better start. Such a process creates an initial understanding of  the different ways we communicate, analyze, make decisions,  lead and want to be led.

The level of insight into these differences and the ability to handle them has a profound effect on the team's ability to deliver results. In one extreme, we often see groups characterized by frustrations, misunderstandings and conflicts.  On the other hand we see teams that are capable of making constructive use of the fact that we all are different.
Our team-building assignments provide valuable insights into how our differences as individuals create opportunities and risks when we work together. The members and the leader of the group receive tools for improving their communication and collaboration, and for reducing frustrations and misunderstandings. The layout and purpose are adjusted to the respective situation and are usually implemented during 1-2 meetings, but this can later also turn into a process for continuing to develop the group into a high-performance team.
